ARARA

2017, Berlin. Video, color, audio, 9:35 min Full HD format.

A forest. A cave. A woman and her bird skin. A body animated by past and future lives.

A woman is so immersed into the video game on her mobile phone - in which her bird-avatar has to gobble up the golden coins floating in a gorge - that her own movements gradually come to resemble a bird in herself. What might become of us humans if we increasingly approach „nature“ as a screen-based virtual reality?
